What are we looking for?

  • Native (or native fluent) in spoken and written English
  • Teaching experience (children and/or adults)
  • EFL/ESL professional
  • TESOL/TEFL/DELTA/CELTA or related field
  • Non-native English teachers (studying English, Učiteljski studij s engleskim jezikom, University degree)
  • Morning and afternoon lessons
  • Interested in and passionate about teaching adults as well as children
  •  Be committed and dedicated
Croatian language skills are a plus
No teaching experience required

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for an English Language Instructor located in Zagreb, Croatia, with flexibility for some remote and online work. The English Language Instructor will be responsible for conducting English language classes, preparing lesson plans, providing feedback and evaluation to students, and creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. The Instructor will also be responsible for developing and delivering course materials and coordinating with other instructors.

Qualifications

  • English Teaching and Language Teaching skills
  • Experience in teaching and education
  • Excellent writing and communication skills in English
  • Ability to create lesson plans and evaluate student performance
  • Knowledge of language education technology and tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or related field
  • Experience in teaching English as a second/foreign language preferred
  • Multi-lingual skills a plus

Observed teaching practice with real students

There is no substitute for actual classroom practice so we are all about hands on teaching practice! During your mentorship you will teach different levels and get feedback from different observers.

Teaching Experience 

New to teaching English? Don’t worry! With our in-house training and mentorship you will get not only a lot of new ways of teaching but also you will have a lot of opportunities to practice teaching before you start teaching. There are always staff members onsite that can guide you how to create your lesson plan. Other staff members are always there to help you build amazing lessons. They are always there ready to help share successful ideas, activities, props and worksheets to make your lessons creative, unique and entertaining.

In-house training

We have a large staff. All of our English teachers and leaders are dedicated to your success and will help you make sure you grow and succeed as a teacher/leader. We’ve all been in your shoes; we get it.

Other English Opportunities

Even though we do not currently offer English lessons on the weekends, we usually fill up our weekends by organizing field trips, outings, camps and workshops for YEC kids.
