This summer CAS ran its ninth annual summer camp in the USA. Eight wonderful participants took part in the Big Apple Tour from July 14-30. The camp was held in NYC, Washington DC, and Philadelphia. The group visited Manhattan for 7 days, Washington for 4 days and Philadelphia for 3 days. Camp visited the Statue of Liberty, the Broadway musical Chicago, the Empire state building, a NY Yankees game, a NY Liberty game, the American Museum of Natural History, the Metropolitan Museum, the Museum of Modern Art, Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center, Central Park, the Wall Street Bull, the 9/11 Memorial, NY University, the White House, the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington monument, the Jefferson Memorial, the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum, the Smithsonian Natural History Museum, Six Flags Americas, the George Washington University, the US Constitution Center, the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall and Villanova University. All participants got a quick taste of 3 of the largest cities in the USA and experienced various aspects of US culture. Our next camp will be in the UK during Christmas break 2014.
