Traditionally it is the Red Rocks Arts & Crafts Festival which was held from 27.-30. of May throughout which was presented to the public the culture and phenomena of lace making. Theme accompanied by live learning case studies has served well in purpose of combining our two nations in aspect of cultural, educational and artistic context.
The Festival was organised by Croatian-American Society and supported by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs along with close coordination by the City of Lepoglava and Ecomuseum Lepoglava.
Lectures combined with workshops held in American Library have broadened the lace context. Children and youth had the opportunity in contributing with their imaginative approach to lace understanding by being lectured on the spot and given answers on various questions. This year’s festivity opened ways of new lace understanding phenomena along with educational frame on our tradition in which youth stands out as our core treasure and pride.
