BIDEN CELEBRATES A DOMINANT VICTORY!
ZAGREB – Last week 36 schools across Croatia took part in the second Mock USA Presidential Election designed to educate late elementary and high school students about the electoral college system used to select presidents in the USA. The results were a decisive victory for Joe Biden. Only 1 school selected Trump and 35 selected Biden (please see the attached results). Over 6,600 students took part in this simulation! Now we will wait and see what will happen in the actual election in the USA that takes place today. Students that took part in this project get a 20% discount code for our online english lessons for high school students.
CAS would like to thank all partner schools for being part of the successful project despite COVID19 issues. Each school represented one US state awarded by overall school enrollment, was guided through the process by a coordinating English teacher, and selected an election committee consisting of students in each school. We would like to recognize II. jezična gimnazija Split (536), Srednja škola Ban Josip Jelačić, Zaprešić (476), and Gimnazija “Fran Galović” (472) for having the three highest voter turnouts. Many participants sent very positive feedback about the project that will next be held in 2024.
